* Ryan - Rhythm Guitar & Vocals
Ryan was born and raised in the small town of Albion NY. At the age of 16, Ryan formed a band called the Moonlighters with his brothers and played at Dillinger’s Motor Inn back in the early 1970’s, where he played rhythm and lead guitar. Later on, Ryan formed a band called Rapid Ridge. He left the guitar and went to drums, after playing Rudiment Drums in the Albion High School Marching Band. This band was together for approximately 15 years playing Top 40 County and Rock and Roll. After the Rapid Ridge Band ended, Ryan started a band called The Straight Shooters. Ryan went out front to become the lead vocalist and played rhythm guitar in this band. The Straight Shooters played Top 40 Country for 7 years. During this time (now in the 1990’s) Ryan got an offer to travel to Nashville, Tennessee to record some personal songs that he wrote. During his visits to Nashville he had the opportunity to sing at Fan Fair, Blue Bird Cafe and many venues where they had open mic nights. Ryan joined NSAI which is Nashville Songwriters Association where he met many National artists such as Brad Paisley, Billy Dean, Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Steve Warner to name a few, all associated with Tin Pan South. Ryan formed The Brick Band approximately 14 years ago and is still going strong today, where he still remains the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. The Brick Band plays 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80's and 90's.
* Steve - Bass Guitar & Vocals
Steve, a Rochester native, was inspired at an early age by his father's natural ability to play piano and the sound of his mother always singing. Steve started with piano lessons and playing guitar and organ but finally settled on the bass as his most beloved instrument. Influenced by the Beatles and 60s music, Steve's professional career included rock bands based in Buffalo (Shylo and Cock Robin) and Boston based (Crazy Legs and Fate). In the late 90's he added the upright bass which allowed him to branch out with the Roberts and Music Makers big bands, the Greece Jazz Band, worship, and classical music. Steve is also a Senior Computer Systems Analyst at Kodak. He is currently a member of the Sunrise Cantorum (worship music), the Westside Jazz Band, the Roberts Wesleyan Orchestra, JAVA (bluegrass & Americana) and of course, the Brick Band!
